The daffodils we planted are one of our favorites. Such a cheery way to welcome spring.
We own a charming four-bedroom colonial home on Long Island, New York. Our little neighborhood is active, safe & offers a lot to families with children, in particular the beach where the neighborhood kids have a ball making sandcastles & giant moats out of shells & seaweed.
Outdoor fun is a staple of our day-to-day life. As Pam likes to say, "getting dirty's part of the fun". We love our large yard & being surrounded by nature.
Our home is warm & welcoming, and we love that our family, friends, and neighbors feel comfortable kicking their feet up & hanging out.
We spend a lot of time outside in our backyard for playtime & entertaining
Our block is full of kids of all ages & our neighborhood is extremely active.
We get together with our neighbors (turned friends) for everything from BBQs, to trick-or-treating, to 4th of July at the beach, to a simple game of catch in the front yard.
Our school district is quite intimate. With Matthew in Kindergarten, we've really seen how smaller schools can treat their students individually & not as just a number.
We're looking forward to our next child benefitting from an equally positive school experience.
It's the type of community where neighbors are friends & everyone looks out for each other. There's a close-knit. small-town vibe, and we truly love living here.
